Funder: The Joe Burrow Foundation (JBF)
Mission: The Joe Burrow Foundation provides resources and support to the underprivileged and underserved, with primary focus on helping children with mental illness and those experiencing food insecurity.
- Primary Service Areas: Greater Cincinnati (Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana) and Baton Rouge (Louisiana)
- Eligible Organizations: Nonprofits and public charities operating within the continental United States serving communities in Greater Cincinnati, Baton Rouge, and/or Athens (OH)

Funding Details
- Must be or be affiliated with a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or public charity
- Examples: nonprofit agencies, public colleges, K-12 schools and districts, community support centers
- Documentation required: Valid EIN, IRS tax-exempt determination letter, current Board of Directors list
- Governmental institutions must provide proof of affiliation and staff/board list
- No direct awards to individuals

What JBF Does NOT Fund
Review Criteria
JBF reviewers evaluate proposals based on: 1. Connection to JBF Mission and Focus Areas - alignment with children's mental health and food insecurity work 2. Need for the Project - stated need and immediacy in proposed area 3. Project Goals and Outcomes - specific, measurable goals 4. Project Design - quality, clarity, feasibility, sustainability, and long-term impact 5. Budget and Timeline - adequacy of proposed budget and timeline 6. Project Team - experience and capacity to complete project- Awarded organizations must submit mid-year and annual reports describing fund use and progress toward goals
- JBF reserves right to conduct site visits during project periods and at key milestones
- Acceptance of funds indicates consent to include project information, photos, videos, and testimonials on JBF website and in JBF media
- Organizations agree to obtain individual releases for photos/videos as required
Reporting & Compliance
- Contact with JBF staff regarding applications is strongly discouraged and may be considered disqualifying
- Incomplete applications or missed deadlines will be rejected
- Foundation has specific budget per cycle; funds awarded based on that budget

5. Review Process
- Initial screening by select Board of Advisors members and JBF staff to identify finalists
- Finalist applications reviewed and selected by Executive Board
- Site visits may be requested (approximately one hour)
- Additional information may be requested from finalists
6. Notification
- Organizations notified by Award Date whether project will/will not be funded
- Do not contact JBF staff regarding application status - this is strongly discouraged and may be disqualifying
