• Non-profit organization (must offer programming/resources supporting women and/or children)
• Does not need to solely focus on women and children to qualify
• Serve the Greater Charlottesville region

Program Background:
Women United is a philanthropic committee of United Way that supports local women and children through collective giving of membership. The 2025 grant cycle was particularly competitive, with an unprecedented number of applications from diverse organizations representing various localities, mission areas, and client populations.

Additional Information:
Women United updated their grant application process in 2025 to make it more seamless and efficient, resulting in significantly increased applications. The group encouraged non-selected organizations to apply in future cycles.
