Women's Fund of Southwest Iowa

Status: Active endowed fund

Geographic Scope: Southwest Iowa (9-county service area: Cass, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie, and Shelby)

Purpose: The Women's Fund of Southwest Iowa is the catalyst for lasting, positive change relative to the challenges facing the women of southwest Iowa. Through purposeful planning, strategic insight, and collaborative needs-assessment, this endowed fund supports programming designed to improve the quality of life and well-being of women and their families.

Focus Areas: Programs and projects that address:

  • Women's self-sufficiency

  • Women's safety, health, and support

  • Women's engagement as strong, productive community members
  • Eligibility: Organizations working on projects/programs that demonstrate impact in the focus areas above.

    Grantee Expectations: Grantees must demonstrate how their project/program will achieve the fund's impact goals.
