Note: Proposals are now reviewed quarterly. Youth Travel Purpose To support group domestic and international travel for youth under 21. Priority is given to experiences which enrich and educate youth on the diversity of lived experiences, trips that focus on promotion of justice and equity between people, and programs that involve practical and direct connection with a broad and diverse cross-section of young people of varied cultures. These grants are made possible through the Priscilla Whittemore Travel Scholarship Fund.Eligibility

Applicant Eligibility RequirementsMust be a not-for-profit organization recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or a municipal entity seeking a grant for public purposes. Must have a board, representative of the community, of which a majority is neither employees nor relatives of employees.Located within and/or providing services to residents of our 21-town service area.Beacon Falls, Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Cheshire, Goshen, Litchfield, Middlebury, Morris, Naugatuck, New Milford, Oxford, Prospect, Roxbury, Southbury, Thomaston, Warren, Washington, Waterbury, Watertown, Wolcott, WoodburyPossess a Nonprofit Registration to Solicit Funds (or exemption, if appropriate) from the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection.This registration must be renewed annually.Ineligibility
