WFACF Annual Grant Cycle

Geographic Scope: Primarily awarded in Texas counties: Archer, Baylor, Clay, Montague, Wichita, Wilbarger, and Young

Eligibility:

  • Valid, current 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations

  • Eligible nonprofits can apply each year

    • Award Notifications & Distribution:

  • Award notifications distributed in first quarter of the year via email

  • Most grants awarded within 30 days of WFACF receiving signed grant agreement

    • Restrictions:

  • Grants are not made to political candidates or lobbying efforts

  • Grants are not made to private non-operating foundations

  • Grants are not made to individuals

  • Grants are not made to international organizations (except 501(c)3 entities with US offices)

  • Grants are not made to organizations controlled by donors

  • Grants are not made to Type III Support Organizations that are not functionally integrated

    • How to Apply

    Application Process

    1. Access the Grant Portal: Applications submitted online only through the WFACF Grant Portal at https://www.wfacf.org/ (paper applications not accepted)

    2. Create Account: All applicants must create an account in the grant portal when applying for the first time

    3. Dashboard: Once account is set up, your dashboard displays every time you log in

    4. Dashboard Functions:
    - Edit contact information
    - Begin application process
    - Access application drafts
    - View submitted applications
    - Submit post-grant evaluation reports

    5. Letter of Intent: Not required for WFACF Grant Cycle

    6. Final Report: Required within one year of grant award notification
    - Provide information on who benefited from the award
    - Explain how award helped with organization's mission
    - Confirm all funds expended
    - Include stories/highlights to help WFACF communicate impact
