Community Foundation Scholarship Program

Overview:

  • WFACF is home to more than 50 Scholarship Funds

  • Universal Application allows students to apply for most eligible scholarships with only one application
  • Eligibility:

  • Graduating high school seniors

  • Currently enrolled college students
  • Application Window: December 1st - February 1st (applications must be submitted by February 1st at midnight)

    Special Scholarships with Separate Applications:

  • The Richard Gaines Russell Scholarship: December 1st - February 1st

  • Wichita County Jr. Livestock Scholarship: September 15th - October 31st
  • Application Submission:

  • All applications accessed online through portal during application grant cycle

  • Applications MUST be submitted by February 1st at 11:59 pm

  • Paper format not mentioned; electronic submission only
  • Third-Party Materials:

  • All material provided by third parties, including references, must be submitted no later than February 15th for the universal application

  • Applicant responsible for ensuring recommenders complete their portion
  • Technical Requirements:

  • Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Safari internet browsers recommended

  • Computer or tablet preferred for best user experience

  • Alternative: If no computer access available, see high school career counselor for assistance

  • How to Apply

    Scholarship Application Process

    1. Create Login: You will need to create a login to access applications

    2. Qualification Assessment: Based on your answers, the system will provide opportunities for which you qualify

    3. Additional Questions: You may need to answer additional required questions for specific scholarships

    4. Complete All Questions: Encouraged to complete all questions to be considered for as many opportunities as possible

    5. Confidentiality: All information kept confidential within Scholarship Program

    6. Required Items: All required items must be completed and applications submitted to be considered

    7. Saving & Editing: You can save and edit your application as many times as needed prior to submitting

    8. Submission is Final: Once your application is submitted, you will not be able to edit it again
