Communities In Schools of the Dallas Region (CISDR) received a grant of $500,000 from the W.W. Caruth Jr. Fund at Communities Foundation of Texas. The grant supports CISDR's program services for two school years, ensuring mental health services are available and accessible for at-risk students across Dallas County.

Use of Funds:

• Program services for the next two school years (2020-2021 and 2021-2022)

Background:
Mental health has been a growing problem amongst youth, but the need was heightened and drastically grown amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic turned students' worlds upside down and has created mounting mental health challenges. The effects are not just immediate but will be a growing concern for years to come.
