Vision Fund
Overview: The WMU Vision Fund was established in 1993 to support the core ministries of WMU, which began over 130 years ago.
Purpose: Supports multiple WMU ministries that strengthen missions discipleship, leadership development, and compassion ministries:
- Christian Women's Job Corps (CWJC) and Christian Men's Job Corps (CMJC): Nearly 200 registered and certified sites across the nation serving thousands annually. Equips women and men in a Christian context for life and employment.
- Project HELP: WMU initiative designed to help the church address current social and moral issues (launched 1994). Current focus: global refugee crisis. Previous emphases: HIV/AIDS, racial injustice, anti-human trafficking, poverty.
- Missionary Kid (MK) Re-entry Retreat: Annual retreat sponsored by different state WMU organizations to help International Mission Board missionary kids transition back to the United States for college.
- State WMU Organization Support: Direct assistance to state WMU organizations.
- Missions Discipleship: Forms believers of all ages into people who love God's mission and live sent in their everyday lives.
- Leadership Development: Equips women and girls to serve faithfully in churches, communities, and the mission field.
Supported Ministries
Impact: Supports thousands of individuals annually through job training, mentoring, counseling, and spiritual formation programs.
