Valedictorian Award

Purpose: Recognition and award for graduating students who demonstrate the highest combination of scholarship, character, maturity, accomplishment, and involvement in the college.
Eligibility Criteria
- Enrollment Status: Full-time or part-time graduating student at Nassau Community College
- Length of Attendance: Maximum of five years in attendance at NCC
- Academic Performance: Minimum GPA of 3.96
- Academic Standing: No impounds at the time of interview
- Grade Requirements: No more than one "W" grade (medically excused "W" grades are not limited); no outstanding "I" grades
- Credit Completion: Minimum of 50 credits completed at NCC (which may include freshman advanced standing or AP credits)
- Extracurricular Involvement: Evidence of extracurricular and/or community service
