Overview

What is a Community Grant? The Unity Foundation Power for Good Fund was established to be responsive to local needs. This fund is permanent and only the earnings are spent each year. As a result, these grants will be available to sustain our local efforts for generations to come. In 2021, Unity awarded nearly $200,000 to worthwhile projects and programs in the arts, the environment, health and human services, education, and community development through this process. What is the Unity Foundation interested in funding? As Unity Foundation embraces the future of serving La Porte County, the Grant Making Committee encourages submission of innovative projects. Many good repetitive projects have been supported over the years, but the preference is to seek out new concepts that will further enhance the quality of life and strengthen our county.
