Union County Community Foundation Grants

The Union County Community Foundation provides grants to nonprofit organizations and institutions focused on education, arts, health, social services, and more. They support creative programs that address community needs in Union County, aiming to encourage philanthropy through a permanent endowment. Grants are primarily awarded to 501(c)(3) organizations, with specific exclusions for political and religious purposes.

To provide for the donor a charitable vehicle that accepts, invests and distributes resources according to the donors’ wishes.To serve as a grant maker to nonprofit organizations and institutions for education, arts, health, social services, economic development and civic affairs.To serve the community-at-large as a convener of individuals and organizations for the purpose of developing and implementing plans to solve community problems and shape community dreams.To encourage philanthropy and charitable giving by developing a permanent unrestricted endowment to meet Union County’s emerging charitable needs: THE UNION COUNTY PUBLIC TRUST.

Eligibility

The Union County Community Foundation makes most of our grants to tax-exempt, private agencies classified as 501 (c)(3) organizations as defined by the Internal Revenue Service.UCCF may also make grants to governmental agencies.The programs UCCF considers for support are located in Union County Arkansas, or will directly benefit Union County Arkansas residents. UCCF looks for creative programs designed to meet community needs, to address public policy priorities, or to test new ideas.

Ineligibility

UCCF does not award grants for political purposes.Except in the case of donor advised or designated funds, Union County Community Foundation does not typically award grants to individuals or organizations for religious purposes, for capital outlay or capital campaigns, or for endowments.
