Eligibility Requirements
- Must submit at least one abstract as a presenting author
- Must be an active member of TTS
- Must be a trainee/fellow/student OR resident of an emerging economy country
- Must be within two (2) years of completion of training/fellowship OR provide proof of residency for emerging economy
- A supporting letter from Training Program Director is required to verify status as a young investigator
- Must be the presenting author (no exceptions)
- Must attend the meeting in-person
Selection Process
1. Awardees selected from eligible applicants based on abstract excellence (top score), as determined by ITS Scientific Program Committee and field experts
2. Every effort made by TTS to distribute awards to diverse geographic regions
3. 5 awards of up to $600 USD distributed
Required Materials
- Submitted abstract as presenting author
- Supporting letter from Training Program Director (signed)
- Proof of active TTS membership
- Proof of training status or emerging economy residency
How to Apply
Application Process
1. Submit at least one abstract as a presenting author to the International Transplantation Science Meeting
2. Obtain a signed supporting letter from your Training Program Director verifying your status as a young investigator
3. Submit the supporting letter as part of the travel award application
4. Ensure you are an active member of TTS
5. Plan to attend the meeting in-person
Key Requirements
- The supporting letter from Training Program Director must be submitted — applicants without this letter will not be considered
- You must be the presenting author — no exceptions
- In-person attendance at the meeting is mandatory for award eligibility
