Focus Area: Research to advance understanding and treatment of Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD) and related autoimmune conditions (MOG-AD, ADEM)

Geographic Scope: United States

Eligibility:

• Clinical, translational, and basic researchers with experience in NMOSD and autoimmune diseases
• Must be affiliated with academic institutions in the United States

Award Details:

• Up to $25,000 per grant
• Award granted to researcher's institution, not individual
• Multiple grants awarded annually (2-3 in 2019, up to 4 in 2020, multiple in 2021)

Selection Process:

• Grant Committee includes: 1 Medical Board member, 2 Executive Committee members, 1-2 independent NMOSD research key opinion leaders
• Committee scores applications based on predetermined criteria
• Committee has sole decision-making authority

Post-Award Requirements:

• Mid-term project report required
• Final completion report required
