Our scholarships help to make continuing education affordable for students, giving them access to new opportunities that can change their lives. Trufant Family Scholarship Fund Donald Trufant, an Auburn native, served in the Air Force for four years before working in the banking and financial services industry and retiring in Virginia. A 1950 graduate of Union Springs High School, Donald decided to give back to his alma mater in the form of a scholarship. Annual scholarships are awarded to students graduating from Auburn High School and Union Springs High School. Eight scholarships can be given: four students are awarded from Auburn High School and four students are awarded from Union Springs High School. Awards are renewable up to four years, pending the recipients provide proof of enrollment.
