Overview

Transportation Fund

Purpose: Reimbursement program to support field trips for economically disadvantaged students.

Geographic Scope: Indiana (schools must be verified by the Indiana Department of Education)

Eligibility:

  • 50% or more of students must be economically disadvantaged (as indicated by the Indiana Department of Education)

  • Schools/groups planning field trips to Conner Prairie Museum

    Application Process

    1. Verify Eligibility: Confirm that 50% or more of your students are economically disadvantaged according to Indiana Department of Education records

    2. Plan Your Visit: Schedule a field trip to Conner Prairie Museum

    3. Complete Survey: A survey must be completed and returned before or at the time of reimbursement request

    4. Conduct Field Trip: Take your students to Conner Prairie

    5. Submit Evaluation: Complete and return the evaluation form following your field trip visit

    6. Receive Reimbursement:
    - A check will be issued and sent by US Mail to the school
    - Reimbursement is calculated at $5.00 per student (maximum $500.00 total)
    - Processing takes up to one month from submission of completed evaluation
