Transportation Alternatives (TA) Program (ND) Transportation Alternatives (TA) provides funding for programs and projects defined as transportation alternatives. These include pedestrian and bicycle facilities, Safe Routes to School projects, safe routes for non-drivers, community improvement activities and environmental mitigation projects. Funding The amount of funding a project receives will be determined from the cost estimate included with the project application. Only the contract construction cost of your project is eligible for funding. These costs will be funded with federal aid to a maximum of 80.93%. The project sponsor must provide the match of 19.07%.Eligibility
