• Quality, confidential reproductive and sexual healthcare services
• Low-cost or no-cost services for low-income individuals and youth
• Birth control and contraceptive counseling
• Breast and cervical cancer screenings
• Fertility awareness information
• STD/HIV testing
• Pregnancy testing and counseling
• Pelvic exams including Pap smears
• Pregnancy options counseling
• Emergency contraception

Eligibility:

• Uninsured and under-insured people with low incomes
• Groups systematically excluded from receiving care
• Adults and teens
• Serving diverse network: state and local health departments, federally qualified health centers, hospital-based sites, private nonprofit and community-based health centers

Population Served: During typical year, 30,000+ individuals receive Title X services at low or no-cost in Arizona

Background:

• Title X Program established in early 1970s as part of Public Health Service Act
• AFHP has been steward of Title X in Arizona for over 45 years
• Nationwide program serves over 190 million low-income or uninsured individuals
• Prioritizes serving people with low incomes
• Implemented through grants to over 3,500 clinical sites nationally
