Geographic Scope: Arizona statewide

Focus Areas:

• Oral health services and education
• Dental care access for underserved populations
• Nutritional access programs (food banks, after-school/weekend food programs for children, senior delivery programs)
• Programs serving:
  • Underserved children
  • Pregnant women
  • Seniors
  • Underserved adults (added 2023)

Eligibility:

• 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations
• Must serve underserved populations in Arizona
• Can include dental supplies as needed

Background:

• Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation has a long history of supporting oral health in the state
• Since 2010, the Foundation has given over $15 million to support oral health education and disease prevention programs
• In 2022, 26 Arizona nonprofits received Community Grants totaling $752,423
• In 2024, 39 nonprofits received grants totaling $793,149
• In 2023 grant cycle, guidelines expanded to include non-dental nutritional access programs and adult dental programs for the first time
