Overview

NOTE: Completed applications are due by the deadline and will be reviewed on a rolling basis. LEAs are encouraged to submit completed applications as soon as possible to expedite the review and approval process for Title I, 1003 SIG Basic funding. Title I School Improvement Grant 1003 (Basic) (NY) Section 1003 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) requires that State Education Agencies allocate funds to LEAs identified for additional support through the accountability system to support the development, implementation, and monitoring of their individual district and school continuous improvement plans. The 2025-26 Title I, 1003 SIG Basic funds are provided to support the implementation and monitoring of strategies identified in the 2025-26 District Comprehensive Improvement Plan (DCIP) and School Comprehensive Educational Plan(s) (SCEP), and for the planning and development of the 2026-27 district and school improvement plans.
