Note: NYSED strongly encourages all eligible applicants to submit a Notice of Intent (indicated above as Letter of Inquiry) to ensure a timely and thorough review and rating process. However, the Notice of Intent (NOI) is not a requirement for submitting a complete application (Full Proposal) by the application date. The submission deadline for questions is indicated above as the due date for Pre-proposal. Proposals received from association libraries and library systems that are registered as not-for-profits that are not prequalified in the Statewide Financial System (SFS) by 5:00 PM on the proposal due date cannot be evaluated. Such proposals will be disqualified from further consideration. Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Competitive Grant Program Purpose of Grant To improve public libraries’ and library systems’ capacity to offer services and information resources in their communities in the areas of outreach and community engagement; best practices in literacy; and social wellbeing and improving the lives of New Yorkers. Project components may include outreach, programming, consultations from outside experts, and the purchase of supplies and technology which support a larger library initiative. All projects are encouraged to include an outreach or partnership component.
