California Casualty has partnered with education associations for more than 65 years. We understand the growing financial strain on our public schools, and we want to help our friends in the education community. The California Casualty Thomas R. Brown Athletics Grant was established to provide support to public middle and high school sports programs negatively impacted by reduced budgets. Awards must be used to help subsidize school sports programs in ways such as purchasing new equipment or paying for competition travel costs.

Eligibility

You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website. The California Casualty Thomas R. Brown Athletics Grant program will consider grant requests for public middle and high schools whose athletics programs are in jeopardy and in great need of funding in all states except: AK, HI, MA, MI, NY, WI.Applications must be submitted by an active employee of the public school for which the grant is being requested.The applicant must be a current member, or referred by a current member, of the state NEA affiliate or one of our other participating educator associations including: ACSA, CASE, COSA, NASA, and UASSP.

Ineligibility

Awards can not be used for individual student awards, construction projects, organizations whose primary purpose is fundraising, or other school programs.
