Coral Gables Community Foundation Led by community leaders, the Coral Gables Community Foundation provides the philanthropic conduit to connect individuals and corporations looking to positively impact the success of the community. Now in its 33rd year, the Foundation has been at the forefront of the evolving needs of Coral Gables while effectively bringing together beneficiaries and benefactors to fund programs with the greatest impact and benefit to “The City Beautiful.” Coral Gables Community Foundation’s Scholarships Program Coral Gables Community Foundation is honored to partner with our fundholders to administer generous scholarships as well as manage the Foundation’s own scholarship funds. The Foundation and its fundholders have proudly awarded over $6.7 million in scholarships in just the last decade. The Luke Sturgill Memorial Scholarship The Luke Sturgill Memorial Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who will attend a vocational or technical school. Students must pursue a degree or certificate from a vocational or technical institution. The Luke Sturgill Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by Luke’s aunt and Coral Gables resident, Laura Russo, in his memory to support educational opportunities for deserving high school graduates. Eligibility

Overall unweighted GPA of 2.5 or higher Applicant must be a senior in good standing at an eligible high school for at least the 11th and 12th grade. Must intend to attend a vocational or technical school and/or pursue an Associate’s Degree.Applicants must- Be living in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam or Canada
