The CRAYON Fund

Full Name: Cool Resources Accessible for Youth Opportunities in Neighborhoods

Overview: The CRAYON Fund provides event-based micro-grants that support activities and projects that broaden resident participation in neighborhoods, provide youth enrichment, strengthen community ties, and develop leadership capacity in Central Baltimore.

  • Health and wellness initiatives (aligned with GLOW goals)
  • Examples of funded activities: stoop nights, National Night Out, youth training opportunities, intergenerational events in community gardens and parks, community organizing

    Geographic Scope

    Serves the following Central Baltimore communities:
  • Barclay
  • Charles North
  • East Baltimore-Midway
  • Greenmount West
  • Harwood
  • Old Goucher
  • Remington

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must: 1. Organizational Status: Hold tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status OR be fiscally-sponsored by a 501(c)(3) organization OR be an organized community group with a group bank account 2. Location: Be based in or serve one of the eligible communities listed above

  • Responses to all narrative questions
  • Event/activity description
  • Completed budget
  • Identification of community support (where possible)
