Overview

Safe and Healthy Homes Program

Overview: CBP partners with St Ambrose Housing Aid Center and Jubilee Baltimore, Inc to help elderly and long-time homeowners repair and preserve their homes with direct financial assistance.

    Eligible Repairs and Improvements

  • Roof repair or replacement
  • HVAC (cooling and heating) systems
  • Code-related plumbing and electrical work
  • Weatherization enhancements
  • Fall prevention renovations
  • Accessibility improvements

    Supportive Resources

    In addition to repair funding:
  • Estate planning assistance
  • Tax credit assistance
  • Deed support
  • Healthcare-related service referrals

    Geographic Scope

    Serves the following Central Baltimore neighborhoods:
  • Barclay
  • Charles North
  • East Baltimore-Midway
  • Greenmount West
  • Harwood
  • Old Goucher
  • Remington

Eligibility Requirements

Homeowner Type: Must be one of the following:

  • Legacy Homeowner: Has lived in their home for 10+ years

  • Descendant: Of a previous long-term owner/occupant

  • Senior Homeowner: Age 65 or above

  • Disabled Homeowner: Without home modifications, would be unable to remain in home
  • Income Requirement:

  • Total household income must be 60% or less of area median income

  • Approximately $44,160 for a household of one

  • Approximately $63,060 for a household of four

    • Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS)
    • Housing Upgrades Benefiting Seniors (HUBS)
