Located in Newton, CKCF is a host foundation to 18 affiliates in the central Kansas region, supporting rural philanthropy. History The CKCF based in Newton, Kansas is thriving as a viable community foundation serving Newton while also being host to numerous affiliate community foundations throughout central Kansas. The Central Kansas Community Foundation was originally founded in 1994. Following a stable history serving a tri-county area the foundation merged in 2009 with the well-established Greater Newton Community Foundation. Today, the CKCF continues to demonstrate a commitment to strengthening communities across the entire Central Kansas region. Terry Lee Kaylor Memorial Scholarship The scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to current graduating high school seniors who are furthering their careers through higher educational or vocational pursuits. The dollar amount given is based on money available. Recipient will be notified in May of their award status. Scholarship is not renewable.

Eligibility

Qualified individuals are those who plan to attend a public or private college/university or vocational-technical school. Alternative candidates are currently graduating high school seniors from Mulvane High School, USD 263 and or Andover High Schools, USD 385. As well as any seniors that were involved as a wrestling manager and/or participated in high school athletics and/or other school/community activities (e.g., 4-H, County Saddle Club, Future Farmers of America). In-eligible if awarded a full-ride. ANY student is encouraged to apply.
