Geographic Scope: Sheboygan Area School District (SASD), Sheboygan, Wisconsin

• Technology and equipment purchases for schools
• Educational technology that aligns with SASD Master Technology Instructional and Curriculum Plan

Eligibility:

• Schools and organizations within Sheboygan Area School District
• Projects must be compatible with SASD's technology instructional and curriculum plan
• Prior participation with SPEF is not required

What They Fund:

• Technology equipment and devices
• Items over $250 require a price quote from SASD Purchasing Department

What They Don't Fund:

• Ongoing maintenance costs for equipment (one-time funding only)

Requirements:

• Price quotes required for items over $250 from SASD Purchasing Department (Ms. Lori Gasper: lgasper@sasd.net)
• Staff must receive training on technology/equipment prior to or upon award
• Must demonstrate compatibility with SASD technology plan
• Required documentation after funding: photos, student responses, posters showing project impact
• SPEF must be mentioned as funding source in press releases and school newsletters

Technology Fund Application Process

1. Complete the Technology Application Form with the following required information:
   • Applicant details (name, email, phone, date)
   • School or organization name
   • Prior participation history with SPEF
   • Project name and description
   • Total project cost and amount requested from SPEF
   • Implementation timeline
2. Provide Detailed Project Information:
   • Specific implementation plan and how technology will be used
   • Timeline for implementation
   • Number of students to be served and how they will utilize the project
   • How project enhances student experiences in SASD
   • Specific measurement methods for success
3. Address Funding and Compatibility:
   • Identify other sources of funding explored (Title 1, AGR, PTA, PTO, Booster Club, Building Site Committee, etc.)
   • Confirm compatibility with SASD Master Technology Instructional and Curriculum Plan
   • Document any prior funding requests to SASD (approved or rejected) for same project
   • Note if this is a replacement item originally purchased by SASD
4. Training and Maintenance:
   • Confirm staff training status for technology/equipment (prior or planned)
   • Identify maintenance requirements and associated costs
   • Note: SPEF does not fund ongoing maintenance
5. Submit Required Documentation:
   • Price quote from SASD Purchasing Department (Ms. Lori Gasper: lgasper@sasd.net) for items over $250
   • If price quote upload doesn't work, email to info@spefwi.org
6. Submit Application:
   • Complete all sections of the form
   • Agree to provide documentation of project use and student impact after funding
   • Agree to acknowledge SPEF in press releases and newsletters
   • Submit completed form

Required Documentation After Award:

• Photos showing technology in use
• Student responses and feedback
• Posters or other documentation of project impact
