Teacher Promise Grants for Lead Teachers

Purpose: Wage supplements and bonuses to support long-term employment and professional growth for lead preschool teachers.

Geographic Scope: Cincinnati, OH area (providers in Cincinnati Preschool Promise network)

  • Minimum Level 3 Career Pathways requirement

  • Must maintain site's 10% CPP TA enrollment threshold to remain eligible (60-day cure period if enrollment drops)
  • Award Details:

  • Wage supplements: up to $5,000 per year

  • Teacher Advancement Bonuses: up to $1,000 for professional development or educational advancement

  • Paid monthly directly to teachers

  • Number of eligible teachers per site: 2 Lead Teachers per 10 CPP Preschool enrollments; 1 Lead Teacher for sites with fewer than 10 CPP enrollments (applies to Type A and Center-Based programs)
  • Special Notes:

  • TPG no longer offers rolling enrollment opportunities

  • Part-time educators are not eligible

  • If teacher moves to another CPP provider during grant cycle, they forfeit remaining payments but may reapply in next application window
