Teacher Advancement Stipends

Purpose: Incentivize Lead Preschool Teachers for continued professional development and educational advancement through lump sum payments.

Geographic Scope: Cincinnati, OH area (providers in Cincinnati Preschool Promise network)

Focus Areas:

• Professional development
• Degree advancement and attainment
• Teacher retention

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be currently enrolled in and receiving Teacher Promise Grant (TPG) monthly distributions
• Must complete documented professional development hours or demonstrate degree progress/attainment during the grant cycle

Award Details:

• Paid in lump sums (not monthly like TPG)
• Amount contingent on completing professional development hours or degree advancement/attainment
• Fixed and pre-determined amounts vary by achievement level

How TAS Differs from TPG:

• TPG: Fixed monthly payments to eligible Lead Preschool Teachers
• TAS: Conditional lump sum payments based on documented professional development or degree progress
• Eligibility for TAS depends on teacher's documented professional development or degree progress during the grant cycle

Application Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in Teacher Promise Grant (TPG) program
• Document professional development hours completed during grant cycle
• Document degree advancement or attainment achieved during grant cycle
• Submit evidence of completion/achievement
