Overview
The Sustainable Jersey-PSE&G Partnership Program aims to enhance energy efficiency across New Jersey by providing support to municipalities, schools, and small businesses. This initiative, backed by the New Jersey Clean Energy Act, offers valuable resources and funding options to help eligible entities implement cost-effective energy solutions. By focusing on local needs, the program seeks to maximize both economic and environmental benefits, making energy efficiency accessible to all communities.
Program Information
The Sustainable Jersey-PSE&G Partnership Program empowers municipalities, schools, residents and businesses to better manage energy use and leverage PSE&G’s high impact, cost-effective-energy-efficiency programs and incentives. Increasing energy efficiency for local businesses, residents, and government and school facilities provides economic, environmental, community and health benefits.
The New Jersey Clean Energy Act became law in 2018 and set ambitious energy reduction targets. The law identified New Jersey’s public utilities as the entities that would be responsible for implementing many key energy efficiency programs. Thanks to generous support from PSE&G, Sustainable Jersey is able to help eligible municipalities and K-12 public school districts, as well as residents and small businesses take advantage of these lucrative programs.
The Partnership Program was established to change the fact that only a small percent of New Jersey homes and small businesses have taken steps to make their buildings more energy efficient. The Program’s technical assistance, resources and flexible funding options were designed to maximize success in achieving energy efficiency and cost-saving goals.
