SUNY Internship Program

Funder: New York State Office of Strategic Workforce Development (OSWD), announced by Governor Kathy Hochul in 2022

Amount: Up to $3,500 per student while participating in unpaid or low-paid internships

Program Duration: Three-year funding cycle as of February 2024

Total Award to TC3: $116,000 to support students over three years

The program provides financial support to TC3 students engaged in unpaid or low-paid internship opportunities, with funding to expand internship opportunities across SUNY campuses. The money can be used for expenses associated with internships including:

• Transportation
• Required attire
• Tuition
• Living costs (rent, childcare, groceries)

Eligibility

• TC3 students participating in unpaid or low-paid internships
• Internships can be through academic program requirements or voluntary
• Available to students in all majors

Application Process

1. Students may apply for funds online with the TC3 Internship Fund Application
2. Applications should indicate expenses associated with the internship
