Overview

For 30 years, the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation has served as a partner in philanthropy to credit unions, with a mission to empower and inspire credit unions in the Carolinas through collaborative opportunities to enrich our communities. A great example of this collaborative philanthropy is our scholarship program. More than 20 credit unions in North Carolina and South Carolina have active managed funds at the Foundation. The generosity of these credit unions helps hundreds of high school seniors as well as undergraduate and graduate students receive scholarship funds each year. As a member of any of the following credit unions, you may apply for a scholarship. Summit Credit Union’s Elizabeth Hamilton Scholarship Fund At Summit Credit Union, we believe that higher education is important - and that academic achievement should be rewarded. Each year, we give out a number of scholarships to deserving students from the region.

Current member of Summit Credit Union who also either:Is currently enrolled senior-grade-level (grade 12) high school studentHas earned a high school diploma or equivalency (HSE)Current member (or their immediate family) of Summit Credit Union who also:Currently resides or works in Granville County, NCCurrent employee (or their immediate family) of:United Chemi-Con Manufacturing Company of Lansing, NCBarker Microfarads of Hillsville, VAValdese Weavers of Valdese, NCRock House Farm, working at either of the locations belowCentury Furniture of Hickory, NCHancock and Moore of Taylorsville, NCAwards for additional $1,000 scholarships are also available for those meeting all of the criteria below.Current member of Summit Credit Union who also:Is currently enrolled senior-grade-level (grade 12) high school student at either:T. Wingate Andrews High School of High Point, NCJames B. Dudley High School of Greensboro, NCTo be considered a current member, the applicant must own an individual savings account with the credit union. You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member.
