Overview

Summer Law Institute 2026

Overview: An immersive week-long day program for high school students interested in exploring careers in the legal profession. Students develop advocacy skills and connect with legal professionals in Louisville.

Geographic Scope: Louisville, Kentucky

Eligibility:

  • High school students, Grades 9-12

  • Priority: Preference given to rising juniors and graduating seniors

  • Requirement: Students must attend all sessions throughout the week
  • Program Dates and Schedule:

  • Overall Dates: Saturday, June 13 – Saturday, June 20, 2026

  • Saturday, June 13: 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

  • Monday, June 15 – Wednesday, June 17: 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

  • Thursday, June 18 – Friday, June 19: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

  • Saturday, June 20: 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
  • Location: Louisville Bar Center, 600 W. Main St., Ste. 110, Louisville, KY 40202 (Final Saturday location TBD)

    Program Type: Non-residential day program

    Tuition: $250

  • Full and partial scholarships available—cost should not be a barrier to participation
  • Focus: Hands-on experience and intensive learning with legal professionals
