Overview

Student Enrichment Grant

Purpose: Provides financial support for students with academic or financial need.

Focus Areas:

  • Individual students or groups of students with academic or financial need

  • Additional academic support (e.g., tutoring)

  • Enrichment opportunities (e.g., music lessons, art lessons)

  • School field trips for groups of students with financial need ($2,500 or more)

  • International student trips for individual students with financial need
  • What This Grant Does NOT Fund:

  • Field trip requests less than $2,500 (apply through school social worker)

  • Students participating in national/international competitions (apply through school social worker)

  • Summer camp expenses (apply through school social worker)
  • Eligibility:

  • CHCCS teachers and staff (applicants)

  • Students with academic or financial need (beneficiaries)
  • Geographic Scope: Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools (CHCCS), North Carolina

    2. For funding requests less than $2,500, national/international competitions, or summer camp expenses: Apply through your school social worker

    4. Submit application by midnight on the deadline date (September 30, December 15, or April 30)
    5. Attend Grant Writing Workshop for tips on writing a successful application
