State-Funded Scholars SREB State-Doctoral Scholars Program Doctoral Award Three-to-Five-Year Package The Doctoral Award offers three years of direct program support ($20,000 annual stipend) and two years of institutional support from the scholar’s college, university and/or department. Each recipient also is awarded up to five years of university-covered tuition and fees (unless the institution prohibits a fee waiver). In addition, the program provides professional development support and covers expenses associated with attending the annual conference (Institute on Teaching and Mentoring). Applied to a doctoral program, but have not been notified of admittance by the fellowship application deadline. Only applicants who can provide proof of admittance will be considered for the award.You must be enrolled in or have applied to a participating institution in a participating state listed.A U.S. Citizen or have permanent U.S. residency.If denied this year you may re-apply next year.We keep everyone’s application on file for one year. However, you have to notify us early on in the application process if this is the case. We also need updated versions of the following: Application web form (if any contact information has changed). A transcript showing grades from the most recent semester. A short statement that informs us that you are a previous year applicant and that you would like for your application to be considered again.Scholars may only be awarded either the doctoral or dissertation award.Ineligibility
