At Spur Community Foundation, we believe impactful philanthropy helps ensure that the Wood River Valley is a robust, compassionate, and thriving community.

We have a vision that all members of the community wholeheartedly acknowledge that an ecosystem of generosity enables their quality of life in the Wood River Valley, and they actively engage in giving back with their time, talent, or resources. As a result, the character and values of this place remain intact for generations to come.

It is Spur’s mission to inspire effective philanthropy by helping people to give purposefully and local nonprofits to achieve maximum impact.

Community Grant Opportunity: General Operating Support

General Operating Support Grants: Provides organizations unrestricted support with the flexibility to allocate funds where they are most needed.

Eligibility

* Are determined to be tax-exempt by the IRS
* Actively and broadly serve the Blaine County/Wood River Valley community
* Address a local community need or opportunity

Ineligibility

* Individuals 
* Event or sports team sponsorships 
* Religious organizations for religious purposes 
* Political organizations or political campaigns 
* Graduate and post-graduate research
* Organizations that discriminate based on race, color, creed, age, sex, sexual orientation or national origin.
