    • Must provide a valid Unique Entity ID (UEI) to receive funding

      Proposals addressing the nation's 250th anniversary are invited. Organizations are NOT required to address this theme but those who do will be considered as part of a special America250 subset. Proposals should explore:

    • Aspirations it unleashed
    • Contradictions it exposed
    • Struggles it ignited
    • Legacies it left behind
    • Questions it continues to raise

      Key Updates for Spring 2026

    • Expanded Grant Amounts: Increased from previous cycles to support both smaller and larger programs
    • Expanded Eligibility: Three-year consecutive funding limit NOT applied during this cycle
    • Rolling Review: Applications reviewed on rolling basis in scheduled rounds for timely funding decisions
    • Condensed Timeline: Fixed end date of December 31, 2026 means shorter period of performance than typical year-long cycles

    UEI Requirement

    All organizations must provide a valid Unique Entity ID (UEI)—a 12-character alphanumeric code. Organizations can obtain a federal UEI through SAM.gov at no cost. For Spring 2026, applicants do not need a UEI to submit but will need one if awarded to receive funding.
