Sponsorship Request Program

Mission: To improve health and promote well-being of all people in Central Appalachia in partnership with communities. ARH is committed to supporting positive community initiatives, organizations, and programs that improve the lives of all citizens served.

Program Overview

ARH receives many requests for financial sponsorships. While supportive of all approaches that encourage positive community improvements, they are limited in providing financial support and must prioritize applications as submitted.

What ARH Supports

• Health and wellness initiatives
• Programs serving the poor and disenfranchised
• Educational programs
• Community-based nonprofits

What ARH Does NOT Fund or Sponsor

• Requests from individuals or for-profits
• Programs or organizations inconsistent with core values
• Out of area organizations
• Political action committees or political campaigns

Application Timeline

• Submission Requirement: All applications must be submitted online at least two months prior to the date funding is needed
• Emergent Needs: Can be submitted in less time
• Notification Process: Every applicant receives email notification of completed submission
• Review: ARH reviews each application and may request additional information
• Award Notification: Applicants receive email notification of outcome
• Payment: Successful applications receive check via US Mail 3-4 weeks after approval

Important Notes

• Applications that align with ARH's mission to help provide access to care or promote health and wellness in served communities will be given greater consideration
• If sponsorship includes advertisement opportunities, artwork, or logo placements, ARH must have final approval before printing or purchase

How to Apply for Sponsorship

1. Complete Online Form: Submit the Sponsorship Application Form online
2. Attach Documentation: Include flyer, brochure, or request letter on organization letterhead
3. Timeline: Submit at least two months prior to the date funding is needed
4. Emergency Requests: May be submitted with less notice for emergent needs
5. Confirmation: Every applicant receives email notification of completed submission
6. Review Process: ARH reviews each application; applicants may be asked for additional information
7. Outcome Notification: Applicants receive email notification of decision
8. Payment: Approved applications receive check via US Mail 3-4 weeks after approval
