Spark Innovation Grants

Status: Active internal grant program

Background: Mini-grants available to staff at The Primary School in loving memory of Meredith Liu, co-founder who passed away in 2022. Meredith took enormous joy in imagining ways to better serve children and families.

Purpose: Staff at The Primary School are invited to carry on Meredith's legacy of innovation and imagination by developing proposals that will bring joy and soul to the community.

Geographic Scope: The Primary School sites (East Palo Alto and East Bay locations in California)

Award Amount: $2,000 - $5,000 per grant

Eligibility:

  • All full-time staff at TPS sites

  • Below Director level
  • Focus Areas:

  • Projects that will bring joy and soul to the TPS community

  • Staff-driven innovation and imagination
  • Timeline:

  • Applications accepted: June (anytime during the month)

  • Grant winners announced: Early August

  • Project implementation period: August 2025 - June 2026
