Funding: $2 million grant over two years from W.K. Kellogg Foundation

Geographic Scope: Five counties of central New Mexico (Bernalillo, Sandoval, Torrance, Valencia, and Santa Fe)

Target Organizations:

• Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC)-led organizations
• Grassroots, small nonprofit organizations
• Organizations that intimately understand their communities
• Organizations with trust and inherent knowledge to address racial/ethnic gaps

Focus Areas:

• Educational attainment
• Family stability
• Access to economic development

Program Philosophy:

• Trust and solidarity principles
• Low-cost, low-barrier application and reporting process
• Building long-term, high-trust networks within grassroots BIPOC-led nonprofits
• Addressing traditional barriers and inequities inherent in grant-making practices
• Supporting historically under-invested organizations
• Addressing disadvantages organizations face in predominantly white philanthropic sector
