Re-envisioning the COVID Creative Economy Grant

Geographic Scope: Four County Greater Albuquerque Area

Focus Areas:

  • Developing new and longer-term solutions to engage arts audiences during COVID-19 and beyond

  • Increasing inclusive employment opportunities for arts professionals during COVID-19

  • Engaging multiple partners for larger impact in the creative economy
  • Funder Partners: Albuquerque Community Foundation and McCune Charitable Foundation

    Key Characteristics:

  • Focused on new approaches to adapting programming, not immediate/emergency funding

  • Goal to make fewer, higher-impact grants

  • Funding designed to affect multiple organizations, audiences, or arts professionals
  • Eligibility Requirements:

  • Organizations must hold 501(c)(3) nonprofit status from the IRS

  • Organization must be located in (or serving) the Four County Greater Albuquerque Area

  • One application per organization

  • Organizations that previously received emergency funding from ACF or McCune Charitable Foundation are eligible to apply

  • Projects may be currently underway (not yet completed); funding may be used retroactively for partial programming

  • Maximum grant: $25,000

    Submission Requirements:

  • Funding decisions announced on rolling basis throughout 2020
  • Required Narrative Information:
    1. Your organization and/or program's mission and goals
    2. Description of program for which you are applying for funds
    - Program/project overview
    - How your program/project is adapting to COVID-19
    3. How your program fits into one or more of the funding areas
    - Emphasis on how program will continue to engage diverse audiences
    - Support for professionals working in the creative economy
    - Stronger applications show fit with multiple funding areas
    4. Description of long-term vision and sustainability of program
    5. How success of new program or adaptation would be defined during and beyond COVID-19
    6. Collaboration details
    - How you are collaborating with other organizations
    - Sharing of talent and resources with other organizations in community
    - Note: Collaboration not required but strongly encouraged
    7. Detailed project budget indicating intended use of grant funds
    8. Financial statements
    - Audited financial statements required
    - Organizations with operating budgets less than $500,000 may submit unaudited financial statements
