Overview

Small Grants Program

Overview: CCIH awards small grants to its members to build their capacity and support their health programs, as funds are available.

Purpose

Small grants are designed to enhance CCIH member capacity and catalyze meaningful, long-term improvements in health workforce capacity and community-based services.

    Focus Areas

    Grants have supported members in:
  • Improving facilities
  • Assessing and strengthening internal capacity
  • Evaluating integration of faith in their work
  • Communications capacity enhancement
  • Leadership, governance, and management capacity strengthening
  • Family planning promotion and maternal health initiatives
  • Community outreach and staff training
  • Facility improvements

Geographic Scope

Global - open to CCIH members on 6 continents

    Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a CCIH organizational member
  • Application must be submitted on time with all information completed

    Reporting Requirements

  • Simple end-of-project reporting (designed to be non-intrusive)
  • Reporting methods may include:
  • - Photos or videos (with consent forms) - Blog posts - Participation in annual virtual webinar or forum discussion - End-of-project narrative report and After Action Review (AAR) virtual discussion

CCIH is not currently accepting applications for new Small Grants. Check back for updates on the next application period.

In early 2026, CCIH announced Small Grants to six members.

    Background

    Recent grant recipients have included:
  • Association Évangélique pour la Santé au Tchad (AEST) - communications capacity
  • Zimbabwe Association of Church-related Hospitals - leadership and governance
  • AMOS Health and Hope (Nicaragua) - family planning promotion
  • Église Methodiste du Togo (EMT) Health Department - community outreach and facility improvements

Requirements for Applicants

1. Must be a CCIH organizational member 2. Submit application on time with all required information completed 3. Agree to provide end-of-project reporting using one or more of the approved methods

    Reporting Requirements

    After project completion, grantees must submit reports using one or more of these methods:
  • Photos or videos (with consent forms from photo subjects)
  • Blog post
  • Participation in annual virtual webinar or forum discussion
  • End-of-project narrative report and After Action Review (AAR) virtual discussion
