Program Description

MMCF provides funding for Ski PE (Physical Education) programs that introduce local youth to skiing and winter sports in the Eastern Sierra. These programs provide students with the opportunity to experience skiing on the slopes in their local mountain community.

• 2024 Fall/Winter Cycle: $193,000 distributed to 19 Ski PE programs
• Demonstrates strong funder commitment to winter sports education
• Open to schools and educational organizations throughout Eastern Sierra

• Educational programs offering PE/skiing instruction
• Programs serving K-12 students

Application Process for Ski PE Programs

1. Determine Your Program's Eligibility
   • Must be an educational institution or program serving K-12 students
   • Located in Eastern Sierra region
2. Submit Application During Open Cycle
   • Applications accepted during Fall/Winter or Spring/Summer cycles
   • Submit through MMCF online portal
3. Include in Application:
   • Program description and number of students served
   • Skiing/winter sports curriculum details
   • Budget breakdown (instruction, equipment, transportation, etc.)
   • Timeline for program delivery
   • Student demographics and needs
   • How funding will enhance skiing opportunities
4. Submission Deadline
   • Follow posted deadline for applicable grant cycle
