  • History: During 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 budget crises, the Foundation suspended this program to focus on greater needs. In partnership with New Haven Boosters Association, they pledged $100,000 to keep programs going, which was met in both years.

    How to Apply

    Application Process

    1. Submit grant proposal in February each school year
    2. Subcommittee made up of Foundation Board members reviews applications in early spring
    3. Winners are selected and announced
    4. Announcements made via New Haven E-News and social media
    5. Funds are delivered to schools

      Required Materials:

    • Online grant proposal request following Foundation guidelines and instructions
