Shuichi, Katsu & Itsuyo Suga Scholarship Grant

The Shuichi, Katsu & Itsuyo Suga Scholarship, established by Yasuo Suga in 1997, supports Hawaii residents pursuing degrees in mathematics, physics, science, or technology. The scholarship aims to provide financial assistance, with awards ranging from $1,000 to approximately $6,000, depending on the fund size and applicant qualifications. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0. Preference is given to students who have previously received funding and continue to meet eligibility criteria.

NOTE: The Application deadline is represented by the Pre proposal deadline. The Letters of Recommendation deadline is represented by the Full Proposal deadline.
Scholarship funds have varying award amounts ranging from $1,000 or less to several thousand dollars. The award will depend on the size of each scholarship fund, the number of qualified applicants, and the preferences of the donor(s). The average award for students is approximately $6,000.
