Overview

Service Learning Grants Program

Geographic Scope: Northern Chautauqua County (classrooms grades 4-12)

Purpose: Supports classroom-based projects that engage students in meaningful, hands-on learning with clear educational outcomes and community service components.

Eligible Projects Must Include:

A clear learning outcome aligned with an educational standard

Meaningful community service that makes a positive impact

Classroom-based projects (school clubs are not eligible)

Funding Guidelines:

Award amounts generally do not exceed $1,000

Funding may be used for: materials, supplies, equipment, technology, guest speakers, and similar resources

Ineligible: Salaries

Transportation funding is considered separately

Special Considerations:

Projects that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainability are encouraged

Projects with long-term viability or that can be easily replicated may receive special consideration
