Overview

School-Based Training Grants

Funder: Indiana Youth Institute

Geographic Scope: Indiana school districts only

Overview:
IYI partners with school districts to deliver professional development opportunities that are accessible to school-based staff who often have limited access to IYI trainings due to scheduling conflicts during the school day.

Through this initiative, schools can receive funding to bring in a professional, vetted speaker or trainer to lead a session on a topic aligned with the district's mission and needs. These trainings are intended to build staff capacity and enhance services to students.

As part of the training, an IYI Outreach Manager will provide a brief overview of IYI services and share a call to action for upcoming opportunities and resources.

Funding Amount: $500 per training to cover or help cover the cost of the speaker/trainer

Potential Training Topics:

  • Mental Health and Resilience

  • Conscious Discipline

  • TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention)

  • Renewal/Burnout
