Indiana Youth Institute: School-Based Training Grants

The Indiana Youth Institute is offering School-Based Training Grants to support professional development for school staff in Indiana. Grants provide funding for expert-led training sessions tailored to district needs, enhancing staff skills and student services. With a funding amount of $500 per training, this initiative aims to make quality training accessible to educators facing scheduling conflicts. Eligible applicants must be school district staff, with a preference for trainings covering over 100 staff members.

Our mission is to improve the lives of all Indiana children by strengthening and connecting the people, organizations, and communities that are focused on kids and youth.
IYI partners with school districts to deliver professional development opportunities that are accessible to school-based staff who often have limited access to IYI trainings due to scheduling conflicts during the school day.
Through this initiative, schools can receive funding to bring in a professional, vetted speaker or trainer to lead a session on a topic aligned with the district’s mission and needs. These trainings are intended to build staff capacity and enhance services to students.
As part of the training, an IYI Outreach Manager will provide a brief overview of IYI services and share a call to action for upcoming opportunities and resources.
Funding Amount: $500 per training to cover or help cover the cost of the speaker/trainer.

Eligibility

Grants are limited to one per school district per IYI fiscal year.
Each grant is intended to support one professional development opportunity for a district-wide training Applicant must be a staff member within the school district and the school district must be in Indiana.
Funds can only be used to cover the cost of the speaker for the training.
