Sarah Creech Performing Arts Scholarship Grant

The Sarah Creech Performing Arts Scholarship, established in 2013 by the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry, honors the memory of Sarah Creech. This scholarship aims to support high school seniors and college students from Beaufort County pursuing post-secondary education in the performing arts. With a mission to strengthen community ties and provide educational opportunities, the foundation plays a vital role in enhancing the lives of Lowcountry residents through philanthropic leadership.

Community Foundation of the Lowcountry
In 1994, a group of visionary Lowcountry community leaders recognized the need to create a community foundation. Through the sale of the nonprofit Hilton Head Hospital, Hilton Head Island Foundation, Inc. was born, with a mission to provide philanthropic leadership to a growing community. In 2001, our service area expanded to include northern Beaufort County, Colleton, Hampton and Jasper Counties.
With more than $125 million invested in the Lowcountry area since 1994, Community Foundation of the Lowcountry is the largest source of unrestricted philanthropic resources dedicated to Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton and Jasper Counties. We provide donors and nonprofits the steadfast philanthropic leadership to transform, empower and enhance the communities we serve.

The Sarah Creech Performing Arts Scholarship was established at the Community Foundation in 2013 in memory of Sarah Creech by her family and friends. The scholarship will provide annual post-secondary educational scholarships for qualified students who plan to pursue or are currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program in the area of the Performing Arts.

Eligibility

High school senior in southern Beaufort County or currently enrolled college student who is a legal resident of Beaufort County Minimum GPA of 3.0Must be pursuing a degree in the performing arts
