Long Cove Community Endowment Fund Grant

The Long Cove Community Endowment Fund focuses on supporting charitable initiatives in Beaufort and Jasper Counties, South Carolina. Its mission is to encourage giving among the Long Cove Club Members and provide grants for health, housing, hunger, and education. The fund prioritizes specific projects over general operating costs, ensuring continued support for local communities. Grants are evaluated semi-annually, and donor anonymity is maintained, fostering a sustainable and impactful charitable giving environment.

The mission of the Long Cove Club Charitable Advisory Committee (LCCCAC) is to encourage and support charitable giving by the Members of the Long Cove Club Community and to provide grants in support of current needs in the areas of health, housing, hunger and education in Beaufort and Jasper Counties, with particular focus on projects and programs serving the Hilton Head Island and Bluffton communities.
The Advisory Committee has established grantmaking objectives that are intended to ensure Long Cove Fund resources are allocated consistently and appropriatelyOur grantmaking focus is on nonprofit organizations holding 501(c) (3) designation by the IRS in Beaufort and Jasper counties, with emphasis on projects and programs serving Hilton Head Island and Bluffton communitiesOnly one grant proposal may be submitted per organization per grant cycleGrants are awarded in the areas of Health, Housing, Hunger and Education.  Grant proposals require an application and site visitGrants awarded are for one yearGrants are awarded on the merits of specific projects/programs, not as supplementary funding for an organization’s operating and/or capital budgetGrants awarded will be monitored. An Interim report is required and instructions will be emailed to the grant contact person.At the discretion of the Advisory Committee, applicants may seek renewal of support for a previously funded project or program if compliant with all conditions and reports

Eligibility

Awards are granted for projects or programs in the areas of  Health, Housing, Hunger and Education in Beaufort and Jasper counties with particular focus on Hilton Head Island and Bluffton communitiesGrants are intended to support a specific, connected set of activities that have explicit objectives. Project grants have predetermined time frames and costs. Program grants support ongoing activities of the organizationApplicants may include relevant administrative and overhead costs as long as those amounts are proportional with the prospective projects and programsAlthough a project or program may fall within one of our funding priorities, due to finite resources and a very competitive process, we are unable to support every worthwhile project or program.
