Sacramento Valley Chapter CNPS scholarship award

The Sacramento Chapter of the California Native Plant Society funds an additional scholarship for plant-related research. This chapters serves Sacramento, Yolo, Colusa, Sutter, and Yuba counties as well parts of Placer and San Joaquin counties. Our Mission

The Sacramento Valley Chapter of the California Native Plant Society promotes protecting native plants and their habitats and increasing the use of native plants in gardens and public spaces in Sacramento, Sutter, Yuba, lower Placer, and northern San Joaquin Counties.

We accomplish these goals through conservation, education, science, advocacy, horticulture, and land stewardship.

Eligibility

* General Scholarship eligibility:

* The scholarship program is open to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled as full-time students in a college or university performing academic research in botany, plant ecology, or another plant-focused field.
* Junior and senior undergraduate and master’s and PhD graduate students are eligible.
* Projects must be part of independent study, thesis, or dissertation coursework.
